We do offer some standard package pricing rates, but all packages are subject to certain limitations. If you need more than what our packages include, the services are available – some additional services will affect price, some will not. All packages include comprehensive services unless otherwise stated – no additional fees are charged for these services. Comprehensive services include: Custom Graphic and Logo Design. We'll create a header graphic and some accents for your site, that are created just for you. Satisfaction is guaranteed, and graphics will coordinate with your marketing message and business focus, to bring out what is unique about your specific business. We don't use “canned” site designs. Search Engine Optimization. We do the 10% that gets you 90% of the results. Copy Editing. As long as you give us SOMETHING in writing, we'll help you produce compelling and targeted writing for your web pages. Text is optimized for search engines AND people. Technical Assistance. We help you with every part of the site – we help you with every step from choosing a good domain name, to setting up your hosting, to getting your site ready to launch. Marketing Training. We provide you with marketing training and a free marketing plan consultation so your site will get found. Business Startup or Website Adaptation Consulting. If you don't know what your Privacy Policy should be, or how to determine good shipping rates, or how best to streamline your website order fulfillment workflow, we'll help you determine the best way to do it. If you know what you need to accomplish, but not HOW it should be accomplished through the website, we'll help you work out the best approach. Security and Maintenance. We tell you if your site will need long term security maintenance, and we offer you the choice of a flat rate retainer (so we take care of it for you) or of training so you can do it yourself. Admin Training. If you purchase a Content Management or Shopping Cart package, we'll teach you how to add pages or products through the backend forms. Unlimited Page Expansion Options. Your package WILL have a “Page limitation” to start with. The page limitation is the number of pages we will create for you, and install content for. But EVERY site that we build has the ability to have more pages added, and the number of pages it can have long term is unlimited. Basic Package Options NOTE: We no longer offer a standard HTML site build package. It is more costly to our clients long term than our Content Management packages, and it is far less flexible, so there is no longer any advantage to you in that kind of site. It isn't any harder than sending email with attachments! This site requires long term security maintenance, which you can pay us to do, or which we can train you to do. Long term maintenance includes regular site backups (so we can restore your site if something happens to it), security updates and patches as available, and terrific support (you can call us for help or to take care of minor problems). Pages are search engine friendly. $500, plus long term maintenance of $25 per month (if you choose to hire us to do that). NEW! Basic Shopping Cart, with up to 10 items installed, plus configuration of up to 5 additional pages (this takes care of your Home, Site Policies, Shipping and Returns, Contact, and Customer Comments pages). This cart can handle categories of products. It will integrate with many credit card processors, and can handle many basic cart functions in a moderately flexible way. You can configure product options (for example, customization options that cost extra to add to the order). This basic cart system does have some limitations – all shopping carts do. It is a great place to start for a simple online store. $500, plus long term maintenance (starts at $25 per month, and only goes up if you need more service). Advanced Content Management System, with up to 10 pages installed (shopping cart optional but does increase fees). This system is amazing – it has membership management (so you can have people login to private site pages), you can assign more than one person to make updates, and article database functions are also built-in. You can add more features just by plugging in the right extension – calendar, reservations, e-courses, catalog or gallery systems, forums, chat (requires special web hosting), member owned pages, real estate showcase, download management, and much more. Some extensions cost extra to install and configure, but many can be done within the basic price. Advanced Shopping Cart, with up to 10 items installed, plus configuration of up to 5 additional pages (this takes care of your Home, Site Policies, Shipping and Returns, Contact, and Customer Comments pages). This cart can handle categories, and sub-categories of multiple levels. It will integrate with almost any credit card processor, and can handle inventory tracking, and product export/import. You can configure product options (for example, customization options that cost extra to add to the order), and you can add an article database if you choose, or set up an affiliate program. Optional Wholesale Customer Group management is available (additional fees apply). This highly flexible system does have some limitations – all shopping carts do. But it does pretty much anything a person needs. $950, plus long term maintenance (starts at $35 per month, which includes only goes up if you need more service). This cart DOES have a separate yearly licensing fee, of $100 or $350, depending on which version you need. Collaborative Contracts – If you need to save money, and you want to do part of the job yourself, you can work out a collaborative contract with us. Generally you can save up to 50% by having us do the technical stuff, along with providing you with instructions for doing the non-technical stuff. If you do this, you must realize that you still have a LOT to learn, and that your level of work will be very intense. But it is a great way to save for people who need help, but who cannot afford the whole package. See our Collaborative Contracts page for more details. Training Packages – We also have training packages available for people who want to do it all themselves, but who need simplified instructions, and who want someone to look over their shoulder and give them feedback or improvement tips. If you buy instructions from us, we'll check in when you make changes, and let you know if you can improve them in easy ways. Because we are experts at finding ways to do things within a limited budget, chances are, we can help you realize your dream. An example: Recently we were called by a man who had a business idea. He wanted to provide a web based service which had very high technical requirements. He had found a service that he could purchase, but it did not have a means of billing for the service. It also did not have a site frontend which would allow him to promote the service across the web. He called many designers – they either wanted $25,000 or more to build a solution for him, or their eyes glazed over because they could not figure out how to provide a means of making the things he needed work together. By the time he called us, he was feeling pretty discouraged. We listened, and asked a lot of questions, to figure out just what it was that he needed to do. Then we researched options, and came back to him with a plan. By integrating two existing software packages (one of which he had to purchase for $200, the other which was free), and having a custom coder write a small plugin (at a cost of $90) to tie them into the service package that he wanted to sell, we were able to provide him with an option that would give him the function he needed. He would get design customization of all three site areas, the technical help he needed to make them all work together, and the pages added that he needed to present the site well, along with an affiliate program and reseller area where he could train his resellers. All at a price of $1500 plus the cost of the software. The solution that we provided him will last him through the initial growth period of his company, it will give him a manageable work load to keep it going (he only has to do a few things manually), and it will be upgradable when he needs higher function. He did not need to purchase a custom solution to get started, and he won't have to upgrade to a custom solution until his business is performing well enough to support the additional cost. Our solution will last him about 2 years, and will be robust enough to handle up to 1000 subscription based customers with monthly recurrent billing.
